I purchased this book from Hastings a few days ago and am enthralled.
The music played sounds exactly like the piano accompaniment and has melody in top right hand notes. I noticed others who bought the easy piano version published in UK were very unhappy with their purchase, I would describe this version as intermediate.
If you love Adele's music and want to play it for yourself on piano I highly recommend this book.

If anyone is a fan of ANY artist that they purchase songbooks of their favorite albums, here are some things to keep in mind when reading highly CRITICAL songbook reviews...
Most buyers of songbooks are relatively novice or amateur musicians. Even if they boast to have been playing music for a number of years, their skill levels are such that they NEED a songbook to learn how to play a song. Transposing keys is typically too much work for their level of musicianship.
Hal Leonard books are almost always slightly off. They are not meant to be perfect arrangements of the originals. Their publications are meant to make available the written music of songs we all enjoy and want to play. It is meant for beginners and longtime amateurs. Admittedly, you will occasionally get a song that is transposed not-so-great, but 95% percent of the time, you can rely on Hal Leonard books.
When you've learned a piece of music, it is ALWAYS a pleasure to play... over and over again.
Once you learn a song, one's ability to embellish it with their own interpretation is where true musicianship comes in. If it is not in the register you like, then transposing to another key is a perfect exercise on improving one's skill. Otherwise, if you are not willing to put in the hard work, STOP TRYING TO PLAY MUSIC. Because musicians do make music seem easy (which they have gotten to a level where it is easy for them), the truth is, MUSIC IS NOT EASY. It's a lot of HARD WORK, PATIENCE, DEDICATION, LOVE (and some frustration) but you will ALWAYS feel the beauty in the end result.
As for the Adele songbook, I find it to be very good. As with all other "simplified" songbooks, I might not like the way certain melodies are arranged or some chords that are used, but I take the liberty of changing it to make it easier for me or even better sounding for my own taste. That can mean changing the key by using a capo if I am playing the guitar or working out a full transposition on piano. You can do that, too! Use the songbook only as a starting point or a guideline. You'll figure out a way to sing along in the way that you'd like. That's half the fun of the musical journey.
Take note of the positive reviews. Those are from people who have true joy in wanting to play music; people like you and I. People who love a particular song and who really want to learn and play it are willing to work hard for it. Do not be swayed by the critical reviews because those are from those who believe music should be spoon-fed and easy. If one is looking for perfect precision, they should learn to play by ear.
Trust me, you'll do okay with this book.

Awesome book for my teenage daughter. She's been playing a couple of years and this book is easy enough but still poses challenges for her. Great book!

I agree with the other one star reviewer. This song book has been over simplified so that most of the songs are in different keys then the CD. If you are looking to play the songs along with the CD, you are better off going to Youtube or Guitar Tabs and getting the material there. I got "Someone like you" from sheetmusicdirect.com and it matches the CD perfectly. I liked it so much, I thought I would get this book as each download runs about $3.95 and I thought the book would be a great deal. Not so, as I will have to transpose most of the music in the book. This book is a waste of time if you are looking to learn the songs as Adele sings them on the CD. I would give 0 stars if the option was available. All in all, a great disappointment for any one wanting to learn the songs like they are played. If you do go to sheetmusicdirect make sure to get the version you want. simple vs. complete, although both downloads are in the correct key. Jazz69.

Piano music does not match the album Feb 22, 2012

I purchased this book specifically to play the piano part for songs like "Someone like you", "Set Fire to the Rain", and "Turning Tables", yet the music in the book does not match the piano in those songs. I think the problem is that they try to condense all of the instrumental parts from these songs. You can see this in songs like "Don't You Remember", which is primarily guitar.
If you're looking for sheet music that simplifies all of the musical parts of the song into a single score, then this is for you. If you're looking for accurate piano music, then this is not for you.
I will be returning this.
