Good guitar for the money, but it's not 3/4 size! Aug 25, 2012
I bought a Yamaha 3/4 size classical guitar for my children some years ago and I've grown used to the feel of a 3/4 size instrument, allowing me to finger chords that would be difficult on a normal size guitar. Also, because of the shorter neck, the strings on a 3/4 size guitar can be tuned looser to get the same pitch, making the action much easier. I am not faulting the seller, but the manufacturer is calling this 3/4 size, but it is very nearly a full size guitar.
My full size Applause AE-128 is 25.25" from nut to bridge.
My 3/4 Yamaha CGS102A is 21.125" from nut to bridge.
I left my Applause AN13-4 at work, but when I lined up the bridges of it with my full size AN-128, there was a 1.5" difference at most. So the playable length feels more like a full size than 3/4, along with the higher tension in the strings due to the longer length.
In addition, for my tastes, I do like the neck width of a standard classical guitar (my hands are a little larger than average) and the AN13-4 is thinner, though that might be an advantage to some.
Other than that, the guitar is finely constructed and has a reasonably full sound. The body is a somewhat smaller, and therefore is proportionately quieter.
If you really need a guitar for smaller hands, I would recommend something more like the Yamaha CGS102A.
If the 3/4 size is not so important, this is a fine guitar.
One last thing, the AN13-4's body smells of plastic, maybe ABS? Not particularly strong, but noticeable near the body.

Great little guitar Oct 10, 2012
I'm one of those guys who plays so little, my fingers never get tough enough to play very long. This guitar is just what I needed. The nylon strings make it easy on my fingers, and the 3/4 size makes the neck about the same size as a regular steel string. The result is an easy to play guitar that the "once in a while" player can pickup and play for hours. Great guitar for knocking around the house for a small investment.
