5Truss-rod and built to last....  Nov 24, 2009
By Brian T. Clem
I have bought 30 of these guitars between 3 elementary schools. I should have got a deal with them! lol

Items guitars MUST have for elementary school children:
1. 3/4 size (1/2 size guitars are never in tune)
2. TRUSS ROD. Move on if there is NOT one. How can you adjust the neck without one? You cant!!
3. Nylon strings are much better on beginners fingers...

When I bought these guitars they were much cheaper. $90 plus shipping and tax.... Now they seem to have become more expensive, but you are wasting your money buying cheap quality....

5Gorgeous guitar, especially at this price!!!  Jan 08, 2013
By S. Hollingsworth "zoomlens"
The perfect gift for my gal who wanted to learn to play. She's not too tall at 5 foot 2 so I knew a full-size guitar would be cumbersome. For my 8-year-old grandson I bought the Fender MC-1, the same one I recommend to my beginning guitar students but for that special lady in my life I wanted something nicer. For just a few bucks more I tried the Jasmine and was pleasantly surprised! Well constructed with an adjustable truss rod it is more than a beginner guitar. The finish on this guitar is gorgeous! Comes with a nice gig bag too. It doesn't have the volume or resonance of my Cordoba but it's not an $800 guitar either. The only drawback to this guitar is that I noticed it doesn't stay in tune as well as my professional guitars. It's not drastic but one has to tweak the tuning every hour or so. I recommend buying a simple tuner like the Snark SN-1 -- problem solved. Overall, a beautiful guitar both in appearance and sound.

1Bridge Separated from Body on Arrival  Feb 23, 2013
By A. Bentley
I ordered this for my son's birthday based on the many positive reviews. The night before his birthday, I inspected it for wrapping and discovered that It had arrived with the bridge completely separated from the body. It's clear that this particular guitar has manufacturing defects. There are holes for 4 dowels in the bridge, but only 2 holes in the body and only one dowel used period, so it looks like only 1 dowel and a lot of glue were used to hold the bridge to the body. This is almost certainly specific to this guitar, or perhaps the batch it came from but I'd warn anyone who orders it to inspect it carefully on arrival! We are thankful for Amazon's reasonable return process.

5smaller frame beginner  Feb 19, 2013
By K. Sawicka
I'm 5'3" and this guitar is absolutely wonderful! I've read a lot of reviews and took forever to decide on the jasmine, but it's so far been the best investment, learning to play is hard enough, but to be able to do it with a bit of comfort makes it that much easier!
