5What's Not to Like?  Feb 06, 2008
By Warren Weise
Let's see....quality materials, clever design, compact size, easy to use, very affordable. Does this sound like a winning combination to you? I've owned almost every brand of saxophone stand on the market and this one is tops, hands down. Even the flute/clarinet peg, if you order one, has a soft covering so that your valuable instruments won't be marred. A saxophone player must have been involved in coming up with this stand because it does everything you want it to do and nothing that you don't want it to do. Well, it may not play a whole-tone scale but that's about the only thing it can't do! Buy it, you will be glad you did.

5Compact and sturdy. This stand in great!  May 14, 2010
By Lance D. Yorgason "music lover"
The Hercules alto/tenor sax stand is very well built and easy to use. All you have to do is unfold it and make sure that the metal pins are locked to secure it. I like the foam padding on the stand which protects the finish on saxophones. This stand doesnt appear to be as large as other stands I have seen in the past. The stand is compact so you can take it with you anywhere. A must for every sax player.

5Coolest stand ever  Apr 30, 2010
By R. Voigt "eeprof"
I've had many stands over the years. Some don't fold real well, some had little parts that could fall off and get lost and some were just big. This baby folds like a champ, small and compact yet sturdy when set up. I would not waste my time trying to find something that's a couple bucks cheaper, this is the stand you want.

5Incredibly solid  Jun 28, 2010
By Brian Donohoe
After my band's road manager lost my previous generic saxophone stand, I figured it was time to upgrade. I was very surprised to see that, for about the same price as a generic stand (at least on Amazon), I could get one of these tough little Hercules things, which a friend of mine had recommended to me several years ago. I couldn't be happier with it. It's strong, solid, stable, and it folds up into a surprisingly compact and portable little rectangle that I can stick in my keyboard gigbag or backpack. It doesn't have a flute peg, but that's not a big deal to me. I'm very pleased with it, and the price I got was absolutely awesome.

5Insanity  Jun 12, 2010
By James
I never owned a saxophone stand before, but my music teacher advised me to get one since I often play two instruments when practicing. The stand is very durable, I don't think it could get much more compact than it is, and it is a great idea. The stand can be adjusted to switch between tenor and alto but I just leave it right in the middle and nothing bad has happened. The stand doesn't do any harm to my instruments because its padded. Now when I practice, I can have one sax on the stand and one in my hand then switch when I feel like it! This is also great to leave a sax on if you'll be playing a couple times in one day, but I don't recommend leaving an instrument out for more than a day because dust will settle on (and in) it.
