5Great Vocal and Instrumental Performance Mike!  Sep 11, 2012
By T. Leonard "TomCatSax"
I initially purchased the Blue Encore 300, after reading a ton of great reviews from pro-audio folks, for my wife, who is a vocalist (jazz, christian, etc.) The mike has a crystal clear sound with a LOT more gain than any other mike we've worked with. Her voice carried through even the loudest performances without issue. I'm a sax player and discovered that this same mike also works GREAT for sax/flute so I bought one and use for all my concerts/performances. Great clarity without being harsh...and handles feedback issues like a champ! I added a ART Studio MP tube preamp and the new TC-Helicon "Voice Mechanic" to the setup and getting some really nice compliments on how well it sounds! I highly recommend this mike for just about any vocal/wind instrument performance application...probably sound good for recording, as well, but haven't tried that yet.

5Awesome Mic!  Jul 20, 2011
By Sus
AWESOME! This mic is amazing. No feedback or distortion even with live sound, yet vocals are loud and clear. I liked it so much I bought a second one. I also like that it's more compact than most condenser mics I have seen, and it's light weight enough to hold and use like a dynamic mic. You won't be disappointed with this mic.

5Amazing Mic!!  Jan 07, 2013
By Richard E J
I have AKG D5 for the front and backstage vocals in my church, But sometimes the lead singer does not stand out as wanted. This Blue Encore 300 have a 75% hotter signal than my D5 (With no gain added). It's just amazing. The sound is super clean and detailed. Buy it and won't be dissapointed.

5What A Microphone!!  Jan 04, 2013
By Mr. Bassman
I've been a working musician for almost 40 years and this is the best vocal microphone I have ever owned. It rivals, in live performance, some of the best studio recording mics. The power and clarity are far beyond all of my expectations. Though I've only been using it for a short time, the quality of construction instills confidence that it will be my primary microphone of choice for many years to come.

5My new favorite go-to mic!  Dec 06, 2011
By Bill Manning
I inititally bought one of these just to have on hand in my small studio. On a whim, I used it for two tracking sessions on the same day (male vocals and acoustic guitar), and immediately went out an bought three more.

I LOVE THESE MICS!!

I used the four of them this past weekend at a music festival where I engineered 32 seperate acts (several vocal soloists/duets, 2 small jazz combos, a hand-bell carillon, three choirs, a folk band, a chamber orchestra, etc...) over four days. These mics sounded fantastic on everything. The festival orginizers loved the result, and I actually had four or five attendees stop by to compliment me on the richly detailed sound I got from the performers (confession: I'm afraid I took all the credit). I also used other mics from my collection occasionally (usually for the larger ensembles), to augment the Encore 300s, but I was always a little disapointed that I couldn't get the same amazing sound from what used to be my favorite mics. These 300s kick butt!
