perfect, natural fit. Jun 24, 2011

"Belly"
I ordered a different (slightly cheaper) slide before this one, and then had to order the Lap Dawg because the other didn't feel right (too narrow/etc.).
This Dawg has a great, natural curve and is super easy/comfortable to hold (I'm a girl with small fingers, and I know some guys who have big meaty hands that also love this slide).

Feels great...sounds great Aug 02, 2011
By Jefferson Ross This Dunlop Lap Dawg feels really smooth and has great tone. It's shaped only slightly different than the traditional Stevens Bar but just enough to rest between the fingers nicely yet have plenty of mass on the bottom where it meets the string. Hence, great tone and easy gripping. Smooth chrome finish. Great for playing Dobro or 6 string lap steel. Pedal steel players might require the longer version. Highly recommended piece of gear!

Perfect Weight and Feel Aug 07, 2012
By Mark J. Knickelbine Before I got my Lap Dawg, I had to choose between my bullet bar, which is heavy enough to produce a great tone but difficult to pick up and move around on the fretboard, or my Dobro bar, which had nice ridges and was very mobile but too light-weight for the best tone. The Lap Dawg is a perfect combination of the two -- agile but hefty, it works great on both my electric steel and my accoustic resonator.

Barely Works! Sep 18, 2012
By Richard George Tatro This is a good accessory for playing the Lap Steel Guitar! I bought this Lap Dawg based upon the reviews by many experienced lap steel players! I didn't give this 5 star because the Lap Dawg needs to be a little longer then it is! It has the right fit for normal size hands, but the length, in my opinion could have been a 1/2 inch longer so when placed on a six string Lap it fits across all six strings! It smoothly goes down the strings forward and back, but when moving up and down changing notes it has a tendency of catching on the first string! Just from my personal observation the Dawg fits my hand well, with the one exception noted! I think longer would be better!
