Great slide Dec 21, 2010
By Mike B
This slide gives a dull sound when compared to a twangy metal slide. It is great for electric or acoustic guitar. It is sturdy and short. It is thick and your finger might start to sweat a little when using it for a while. I prefer the sound of the glass to the metal slide. I would recommend it. Don't forget to tune your guitar to an open tuning when using it for most songs.
Love the sound Apr 02, 2013
The slide on the package says it fits a size 7 ring. If you are a size 6 or 7 ring you may want to go the next size slide- your fingers get sweaty and swell up a little while playing and you will want a little wiggle room so you can take it off. I am about size 5 ring size and I have a little wiggle room but not much. On my mandolin it creates a smooth and almost space sounding tone compared to the sound of a metal slide- different musicians prefer different sounds and I like the glass slide better then metal. With this slide I find that (if done right) vibrato of a note is more natural sounding and softer then a metal slide- again different musicians have different likes, research the sound you like before buying a slide for first time slide buyers.
Great for first time blues players Feb 12, 2013
My 13 year old guitar-playing son got interested in the blues so I got this glass slide for him to play around with on his acoustic guitar. I actually bought it for Christmas and put it in his stocking with a new guitar tuner and a package of picks. He was excited to get to try it out and it sounded great. Worked great for what I needed it for.

Love the size and sound, fits great on my pinky. I use it mainly for my dobro bottelneck blues songs.
