You will never go back to cheap strings again. Feb 04, 2011
By Leigh I have literally tried almost every string brand there is, including independent companies. Elixir are by far the best brand.
I first tried Elixir on a brand new Taylor Grand Cutaway (Taylor puts Elixir's ultra-thin NANOWEB stock on all their guitars since 1999). I was instantly in love, not realizing a huge part of it was the strings. I later tried the same guitar, without the stock strings, and I realized what a difference those strings made to the playability and sound.
I don't normally write reviews, but there is no way I can let someone put a 1 on these strings. People need to learn their ratings, because putting a 1 on Elixir just says "I am a moron who know nothing about guitars/strings." They may not be your style, though I can't imagine why. But a 1, they should never receive.

Incredible sound! Mar 06, 2006
By RMI Having read the reviews about the new phosphor bronze Elixir strings, I was skeptical on the improvement that could be heard on my beloved Taylor 814CE over the standard Elixir strings (light gauge Polywebs) that had been recommended for this guitar. After buying and installing the first set, I was pleasantly surprised at the sound that I got from the new strings and, 2 months later, I hear no deterioration of that sound quality at all. I love the quality of sound that I get from these new phosphor bronze strings! A bit more "attitude" than the previous Elixirs that I tried but still providing the warmth and fullness that I was used to on my guitar. You must try a set on your guitar!

Easy on the Fingers Dec 19, 2012
By Amazon Aggie Don't play very often? Get these strings. The NANOWEB-coated strings have a mellow sound, but they're also easier on the fingers. The coating makes them softer and they "dig in" to your skin less than traditional strings.

Last Forever, Less Finger Noise, and are Durable May 04, 2013
By hansero The single biggest benefit to me is how long these last before they go dead. Better than at least 12 other brands I have tried (coated and non coated) - Coated strings are worth the money, especially because they are very reasonable on Amazon. - I have used these many times longer than any other acoustic guitar string I have tried - I have tried other major brand coated strings, and these are the best. They were one of the first and have apparently learned some things that the others have not. Go with the original - These don't break very often either - Coating lasts longer than other brands. - I like the sound, but it probably depends upon your guitar more than anything else. They are brighter / more treble than others.

Great Strings Mar 21, 2012
By Russell "Rhombus" Leung I have been a personal fan of Elixir Strings and they never had failed me once. This set certainly doesn't The smooth webbing of the strings give it the "ahh" feeling when you're playing and the sound is just incredible. A tad loud, but better than most.
