THE Best Conditioner I've Ever Used Dec 01, 2007
By Strat God I've been playing 40 years and have tried just about every product out there for rosewood fingerboards. This stuff is far and away the best I've used. It cleans and moisturizes the board- I find you only need to use it about half as much as lemon oil - and it doesn't leave the 'greasy' feeling that other oils do. I use it on my cheap guitars and my investment guitars - I have no affiliation with this company - I'm telling you there is no better product out there.....

The Best Conditioner I've Found Mar 20, 2009
By sal4bass Guitar Honey was first recommended to me by professional guitar repairmen. I had never heard of it before. That was in the early 1990s and I have been using it every since. If professionals use it, then that is good enough for me. It is never greasy feeling and does a great job of cleaning and lubricating Rosewood and Ebony fingerboards. I've used it on a variety of instruments with excellent results. It protects and preserves your fingerboard wood nicely. Recommended!

As Good as Advertised Mar 01, 2008
By Charles Saunders I have a Gibson ES-135, Strat and a Hamer Artist and never noticed the fretboards needing any replenishing. Boy was I wrong, I used this stuff and the wood looks better than new. Lots of guitar products are junk - this is unbelievably good - a bottle will last a lifetime.

Great conditioner, better than lemon oil Oct 17, 2010

"remo"
I have a gibson les paul that I bought used. When it arrived the fretboard was in good shape, but very dry. I first tried lemon oil and it would work, but in about a week the fretboard would feel dry and have an ashy color to it (its rosewood). So I started looking for another solution and found the Gerlitz Guitar honey.
I ordered it and applied it. A few hours later I restrung my guitar and started playing and didn't care for the way the fretboard felt. I think it is because the guitar honey is a little thicker than lemon oil and it felt a little slimy because it wasn't completely dry. I decided to give it another 24 hours. The next day the guitar neck looked and played great. It is a darker color than any of my untreated rosewood fretboards and plays like a champ. Bends and slides are smoother than ever.
Great product and one that I will continue to use. If you need a quick treatment before a gig or something, I would recommend lemon oil because it dries quickly. But I would use this in every other regular maintenance situation.

Caution: Contains Mineral Spirits Feb 04, 2013
By WARRZONE This product is a mineral oil based formula. Your wood may look good now, but continued use will be bad for it in the long run. Never use petroleum products on fine wood!
