Shake Your Groove Thing! Oct 05, 2011

I love the soft and smooth sound of this shaker. You can separate them into two and use them as maracas. I've only been able to find this at our local Guitar Center store but for $15.99. If you're planning on buying a shaker, I recommend this one.

Soft Sound Quality, Quiet Oct 24, 2008
By New England Yankee I don't know of another shaker like this. If you want not just a quiet shaker, but one that has a unique soft quality to it, this shaker is the only one to buy. The plastic feels like a soft vinyl to me and the resulting sound doesn't have the slightest hint of harshness.
I'm not quite sure what LP had in mind designing this in a shaker pair held together with bands. You can separate them, but they actually sound better paired.
Lovely sound.

Great crisp shakers Aug 02, 2007
By D. Hudgins I have wanted some good sounding, crisp, and versatile shakers for a while and was lucky to come across these (I had tried them before I bought them from amazon). I love it that you can get a couple sets and rubber band them all together for more volume (two good strong wide rubber bands included). They put out more sounds than "Eggs" and aren't as cutting and barbaric as a metal-housed shaker. They "fit" in every style!
Latin Percussion LP441 Soft Shake
Broke after just after 5-6 performances May 07, 2013

I really like LP and I loved the sound of the Soft Shakers. They were a great companion along with my cajon for soft performances. I was performing last week in front of my church and one of the two shakers just snapped in half in my hand...rolling little round beads all over the floor. The shakers aren't solid, but two pieces glued together at the center where mine came undone. I don't have the patience to return and wait for a refund so I'll likely replace them with one of the long cylinder shakers you can find. I'm no longer partial to LP in the hand percussion department (I'm eying a Meinl shaker right now) But I still love LP's products. I'm just not a fan of this (unfortunately great sounding) shaker.

Pleased with the item. It looks and sounds good and should nicely enhance my Latin rhythm section. La di da.
