5Sturdy, easy to assemble, great value  Sep 12, 2005
By AYK
This is a great music stand for a great price. It's metal and has a solid base so it's not tipsy. I've seen it used in orchestras but it blends into the home decor because of it's simplicity. Great for longterm use, especially for growing young musicians. I prefer this over the portable, foldable wire stands.

5Excellent Stand for the money  Mar 13, 2007
By Kevin
I had been shopping local music stores for music stands for my home, and I ultimatly was turned off by the price disparity between store and online prices. I was initially nervous about buying the Manhasset music stand becase similarly priced stands in the stores were made of light, flimsy metal that seemed cheap to the touch.

I was delighted when I received this music stand. The assembly was very easy. It comes in 3 pieces, and requires a pair of pliers and a screw driver to assemble. It took me about 3 minutes to get it all assembled once I had the tools in front of me.

The stand is a little lighter than I expected, weighing about 2-3 lbs. However, even though it is light, the top is sturdy and will not bend if you are trying write. The stand extends to about 60 inches at its maximum.

I strongly recommend this stand for home use.

5Great quality, durability, and ease of use  Oct 20, 2006
By Walter Nissen
This stand is used at two of the three schools I rehearse at, and is the one I purchased for my own use. It's solid but of reasonable weight, tolerates being throw in the trunk with a bunch of instruments and stands, and stays put, even when used at the full height. The lip is a sheet of aluminum, easy to get clips on and off. The powder-coated surface will eventually start to show scuffs and scratches, but no more than any other stand out there. And yes, the "clutch" will eventually give out, but it's cheap and easy to replace. This is far outweighed by the convenience of being able to adjust the stand height without unscrewing something. Barring this infrequent (hasn't happened in three years of weekly use) repair, it will last forever.

5Sturdy, Holds a Lot of Music, Looks Great  Feb 18, 2009
By E. Karr
I love this music stand. The reason I bought this was because previously I had been using a fold-up portable one, and one of the sides fell, causing my tuner to fall to the ground and break. I love how sturdy this stand is and how many books I can leave on it at once! It also looks very professional, which is great for any music teacher. To adjust to height, you just need to pull/push down. It's so easy.

The assembly was fairly easy with only a screwdriver and perhaps a pair of pliers needed. Although it didn't come with any instructions, I was able to figure it out.

5Terrific Music Stand  Aug 01, 2006
By History Buff
I bought this stand because I wanted the bigger lip for both my music books and my violin bow to rest on. It works perfectly. Very sturdy, very easy to adjust.

Great product and was shipped out very quickly from seller.
