Cheap Plastic Pins Jul 09, 2010
By Greg Matthews
"microguy"
I bought these for my Martin D-18. There pins are made in Mexico for Martin. They are cheap plastic bridge pins that cost about the same as Martin's solid wood ebony pins. I would recommend skipping these and buying the solid wood pins. If you want white, you will need to search for bone pins that cost about $25.00.

Careful about "color" selection and incorrect product info Oct 15, 2012
By R. Harry Two things - not all of these are ebony wood as indicated by some reviewers. The white ones are plastic and only the black ones with the inlay are wood. Pretty sure the other black ones are also plastic. It would be nice if purchasers of these products would clearly indicate which "color" selection they made and report back as to the materials.
Second, the product description is WRONG that this will work on any guitar. Guitars have different tapers on their bridge pin holes and you have to have pins that match the taper on your guitar. I have an Alvarez and they use a different taper than Martins. I really wish the salesman at my local store would have known that and saved be about $15. I had to get them because I needed the instrument ready to play the next day but now I have to go out and search for something else. These pins have a 5 degree taper an my Alvarez has a 3 degree taper. Amazon won't accept external links but if you check out the custom inlay website, they have some information about sizing.

READ: WHITE WITH BLACK DOTS; not as pictured. Jan 06, 2011
By Mars9 Just fyi - The picture is not what you get in the mail. It is as it reads: white with black dots, not black with white dots as they advertise in their picture. I was disappointed (my dad, actually, for the holidays), but at least they are cheap!

Double check the product description vs picture...then buy Aug 09, 2012

The pins were okay. Inexpensive but NOT what I thought I was getting. I should have read closer to see that what I bought was NOT what was pictured. I got plain white and not the white w/inlay as was pictured. Live and learn. ATTENTION: The seller has since contacted me directly and has sent me the exact pins I thought I was getting at no charge just to make things right. I hope more sellers are as responsive as Hole in the Wall Music. I'm adding this edit to the original review to alert buyers that this seller is first rate. Thanks Hole in the Wall Music.

Look Real Good Jun 08, 2012
By stevewc These look real good but they are plastic pins. They work OK but were a little small for my Sigma Guitar. They don't enhance the sound any.
