Description:

The Ovation sound. The sound that made the acoustic guitar a viable electric instrument is now within everyone's reach. Center-soundhole. Rosewood fingerboard. Built by Ovation's Pacific-based subsidiary, it benefits from the same USA-made Lyrachord body as its more upscale American brothers. The CC2474-5 Celebrity Deluxe features a mid-depth cutaway body shape using modified quintad bracing with a spruce top. Features a white bound 34" scale rosewood fretboard with abalone dot inlays. Other features include a walnut bridge, 1 11/16" nut width, gold tuning machines and the OP4BT preamp. The OP4BT preamp offers +/-12dB control over the bass, midrange, and treble frequencies for great tonal flexibility. It's on-board tuner is easy to use and helps you stay perfectly in-tune, even when using open or non-standard tunings.

Great bass - decent tone, nice looks at a good price Sep 22, 2012

When I first picked up this bass, it had a horrible buzzing on the low strings, and tuning nor harder finger pressure helped. Contacted seller to return, and nicely they contacted Ovation and found a local warranty repair shop for me. Less than 5 minutes in the shop and the bass was working better than I expected - the neck warped a bit from the weather, shipping etc, and a quick tune up of the truss rod inside fixed it - eliminating the buzzing totally.

I also replaced the factory strings, they are pretty crappy, and now this thing sounds great. been playing it for a few hours. I almost returned it and bought the next model up, but I definetly liked the look and feel of this better, and now I have no regrets!
