Great practice pad anywhere, anytime- as advertised Feb 04, 2009
By S. Cliff
"~rocky"
This stuff is great. I've had mine for over a year and have used it lots, especially when school or traveling or camping when a regular practive pad is too big and heavy. Plop it down anywhere (hard surface like a table or wood chair), smush it out (use a stick to roll it kinda flat), take your sticks and hammer away. Just be careful not to hit any rim shots; there's a dent or two in some of the end tables where i forgot. The Remo putty is a lot like some stuff my dad has called 'Silly Putty' except the Remo is red. It has more bounce than most practice pads, but it really helps to train holding the stick right so it can bounce off a drum head- letting a stick to POP off a drum head but still be in full control takes practice and Remo pad is great.
I am sure the stuff will stick to something, but i don't know what. It fells kinda slipery. It looks like a sticky goo, but it is not. The black container is about 2 inches diameter and tall. There is enough putty to easily make a pad at least six inches in diameter, plenty big enough for stick work.

Great for the learning drummer Jun 26, 2012
By KBowenphotos My son begged for this - I finally bought it and I wish I had done it sooner. He is able to practice anytime, anyplace with NO noise ;-) The stuff spreads out like silly putty, gives the drummer the feeling of a drum head so it allows for the correct "feedback" for the drummer.

Cooool Jul 24, 2012
By Austin Jones Very cool stuff! I was very surprised it actually works well! It takes a few minutes to roll out, I turn the flatter side over, and its like a rubber pad, sticks response to it well. Great tool!

Great rebound, easy to use. Feb 02, 2012
By Mephare Looks and feels a lot like silly putty. Grips well on any flat surface, and rebound is realistic. Great for on the go practicing, or when space is limited.
