Introducing the New S6 Original Slim featuring (you guessed it) a comfortable, slimmer than traditional 1.72 (4,37 cm) nut width. The same nut width as its parlor sized little friend with the big sound, the Seagull Grand. The Slims cream binding also helps differentiate this model from its S6 Original counterpart. The combination of the solid cedar top and wild cherry back & sides gives this guitar a full, warm contoured sound, further accentuated by the comfort of the silver leaf maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and double function truss rod. Another key characteristic to these guitars, as with all Seagull guitars, is the use of genuine lacquer finish, which enables the top to breathe and vibrate freely. This in turn promotes the aging process of the guitar, meaning that your instrument will actually sound better the more it is played over time. Worth every penny Mar 18, 2010
I bought my Seagull S6 Slim about 5 months ago, and it seems to sound better every time I play it. I ordered one online without ever playing one, because of all the great reviews. Made in a small town in Canada, it's refreshing to find such a quality, reasonably priced guitar that's not made in Asia. I replaced the strings with Elixir light gauge, and I borrowed a set of nut files to lower the strings at the nut. I bought this guitar so I could have one at work all the time. I work at a hospital and we have a group that will sing hymns for the patients and families that request us. I have a 1983 Martin D35 that I keep at home. I'll have to say that I still like the Martin more, but I can't say it's worth 6 times the price I paid for the Seagull. This S6 slim is really enjoyable to play, and it's also the best smelling guitar I've ever played, due to the cedar. I suppose that scent will fade over the years, but it's the first thing that hits you when you take the guitar out of the case.

I was looking for a easy playing guitar. I have played martins mostly and was blowen away by this guitar.I wanted a guitar that had a neck like a ovation but with a less twangy sound.The s6 slim is all that and more.It plays and sounds great. You can not buy a guitar that plays and sounds this great at this low of a price.And the finish on the neck makes it easy to play. I love it!

I owned one of these years ago( tragically destroyed ) and was happy to finally replace it with a new one. For the money, this guitar can't be beat, in looks and sound, playability it is worth every penny and more!

Breathtaking.... May 16, 2007
I bought this guitar a little over two hours ago at a local guitar shop in Chicagoland. I intended on buying a guitar in Seagull's Artist series that was more than twice it's price. After playing both, it seemed senseless to spend more on another guitar. The S6 Slim is the guitar I have been dreaming about for years. This is the most beautiful guitar you will hear, at ANY price. This guitar can be bought for well under $400. It is worth EVERY penny.
