I purchased the Takamine EG523CDX-HB from Amazon for $580 which is over 50% below the list price and is the lowest anywhere for this model. The guitar was received in excellent condition and upon tuning it the guitar was everything I was shopping for and more. It is a stunningly beautiful guitar with pearl tuning machines, abalone and pearl neck inlay, and a beautiful honeyburst finish. It has a solid spruce top and a fantastic even-toned sound which projects very well. The electronics are about the best one could ask for in a mid-level guitar. I have played Taylors that cost three times as much as this Takamine and were not close in sound quality or action. If you are looking for an excellent value for a mid-priced guitar you will not beat this deal.

Not able to enjoy it for long, before I realized the electronic box where the battery is located had a short in it. I immediately contacted the co. and they e-mailed me a return address label; and a postal pick-up date for the very next morning. I am going to replace it, after all I make mistakes sometimes; so what the heck, one more try. I feel that it would be worth it, the guitar is stunning! I can`t wait to recieve the replacement! I will include, when the replacment arrives; how it was handled by the Co. and it`s working condition..Can only put one star, because I had to ship back. But, if I were to rate it`s appearance, I would have rated 5 stars. stars../////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////Thank You, for the speedy replacement! I recieved the replacement, the very next morning by 11am(day after, I shipped back the original). However this guitar is also defective. Both times I recieved the guitar there were do directions on how to use the electronic`c box, where the battery is placed and the different sound control`s are located. I need to send back the guitar a second time, and now have no use for the guitar case I ordered for the guitar. I sent the previouse guitar back, in the guitar case box so it would be protected better. I feel that the guitar is not protected enough. Please send box for the return of the guitar case, I am requesting a full refund on both products. TY
