Nice Student Footstool Feb 14, 2008
By T. Gupta
This is a good footstool for students to take to their guitar lessons. It is lightweight and works well. The price is good, even with the shipping cost. My local guitar shop was charging much more. Amazon shipped on time.

So far So good Oct 13, 2009

Works great for me, seems sturdy enough. I am not a small man by any stretch of the imagination, and this is surprisingly strong. I would recommend it for practice.

As Intended Aug 29, 2010
I looked into a few of these before purchasing. This one seemed the best quality for the price. I love it and it has held up well with weekly playing of live shows for over a year now. Folds easily and lightweight. I would highly recommend.

Tour Grade vs Music People foot rests Jan 13, 2012
I was trying to decide between this one and the other available, Music People FS7850B Guitar Foot Rest. For the most part, the two look pretty much exactly the same thing. But there was one aspect mentioned in the other product reviews that decided me in favor of this one.
There were a few comments concerning the Music People foot stool that indicated that the notches on the underside (for raising/lowering height) were a tad difficult. Even the user video of that stand showed the gentleman palm-slapping the top to get it to lock-in. If I don't have to even briefly struggle with something, I really would rather not. So I purchased this one as there was no mention of stickiness of the locking notches.
The height notches on this one, Tour Grade, locks and unlocks easily. No effort at all. The stand stays in place both on my tile floor and on rugs when I have taken it to friend's houses. The rubber tread is a tad flimsy seeming and not absolutely affixed to the frame (uses little rubber nuts to keep it in place - I assume so you could replace the tread at a later time?), but I have been using it now for a few weeks on a daily basis, and there has been no issues with the tread. The frame itself, however, is strong AND relatively light. Yes, I have put this in the gig pouch of a travel guitar bag along with a 1.5 lb portable stool and walked around with it. I like!
For the price and for a simple foot stool, I can say you won't go wrong with this one.

Awesome Oct 28, 2011
For my purposes as a hobbyist guitar player, this thing rocks. Its easy to set up and break down and feels sturdy. Its a little detail in my project studio that has definitely helped me maintain posture in front of the mic and not move around so much. I can also play a lot longer using this thing.
